Golden Girls Bar Crawl -Pourhouse- May 13, 10:30-4:30

Come to the best idea for a bar crawl since the invention of cheesecake!  Come dressed as your favorite GG and bar-hop while being part of a Guinness Book of World Record for having the most folks dressed up as Golden Girls under one roof at the Pourhouse.  From there, the gang will be split into groups  and rotate through the remaining bars (Saloon, 7th Street Entry/ The Depot, Chambers Hotel/ Mercy Restaurant/ Union Rooftop).  10% of sales at each venue will go to Out Front Minnesota.  Surprises and events planned at each venue including drag Help kids get outside.  REI is hosintg a drop off eveperformances and trivia.  GG Crawl T-shirts will be available.  This is a 21+ event.  For more info and tickets look hereCost:  $20

Stanley’s Beer & Bacon Fest- Stanley’s Northeast, May 13th, 1-5pm

…. bacon….. need I say more?  Ok, how about bacon and beer.  Check out this sizzling annual event at Stanley’s featuring live music, food trucks and ….. bacon.  Tickets here. Cost:  $45-$55

REI Gear Drive- REI Bloomington- May 13, 10am-3pm

Help kids get outside by dropping off your used gear at REI on Saturday.  Help out the kids  for Wilderness Inquiry and receive a 20% coupon for a regular priced item.  Cost:  FREE

Lynx Home Opener- Xcel Center, May 14, 6pm

The winningest team in Minnesota, the MN Lynx are hosting their home opener on Sunday.  This team keeps having winning seasons one after another so hope on board and come cheer them on to another victory.  Make sure you go to the X, and not Target Center which is closed for renovations.  Bring your Mom because it’s Mother’s Day.  Cost:  $21-$80

Family Day:  Tea Time- Minneapolis Institute of Art- May 14, 11am-5m

Discover a variety of tea-inspired art activities, play an “Alice in Wonderland” game, learn about Japanese tea rooms and hear about how tea and coffee are integral part of global cultures.   Family Day is a free monthly event for families, kids and all ages.  Cost:  Free

Kombucha Making Workshop- Radiant Life Yoga- May 13, 10:30am- 12:00pm

Kombucha is all the rage right now and it should be- it has amazing health benefits, but along with the latest craze comes the hefty price tag.  Here is an opportunity to learn how to make your own at home.  Sign up in advance to make sure they bring enough supplies.  Cost:  $25

Askov Finlayson Bubble Hockey Tournament- Askov Finlayson- May 13,  2pm-5pm

 
Bubble hockey!  This is the 5th annual tournament of bubble hockey- now in conjunction with Bauhaus Brew Labs.  Practice that slapshot and earn those bragging rights.   Sign up fast to guarantee yourself a spot.   Cost includes one beer per person.  Cost:  $20

ARTwalk -Downtown St. Paul- Through June 4

The ARTwalk is a storefront gallery that utilizes the windows of downtown Saint Paul businesses to exhibit youth artwork from across the region as part of the 2017 Flint Hills International Children’s Festival. This year’s ARTwalk includes over 250 pieces of art displayed in 20 locations. For more info on which businesses/ locations are showcasing the art or about the artists, look hereCost:  FREE

Beer Dinner at Town Talk Diner- May 10, 7-10pm

Beer, Ballet & Boxing- Urban Growler- May 11, 6 & 7pm

If you aren’t familiar with the unlikely association of the Saint Paul Ballet & Element Boxing then you should check this MPR story out.  The lovely folks at Urban Growler are hosting a fundraiser for these two organizations complete with examples from their upcoming showcase.  Pick your time and get your tickets in advance or at the door.   Cost:  $20-$22

Second Sunday Cribbage Tournament- Dangerous Man- May 14, 12-3pm

Dangerous Man has started a reoccurring event of a 26 seat cribbage tournament with some unusual rules about how it all works.  They provide the boards & decks.  Don’t sign up unless you are sure you can make it.  Top spots take home cash prizes, and DM swag.  Fore more info on the rules etc look here.   Cost:  $10 buy-in (cash)
