Groundhog Day- Feb 2nd- the day we all eagerly await the rodent named Puxatawney Phil (who has his own Facebook page by the way) to come out of his den and see if he can see his shadow. It is the feel good, silly meteorology moment of the year. Then came Bill Murray who in his Murray-esque way turned this holiday into a fun, silly romantic comedy in his role as a newsman out to cover Phil and keeps re-living the same day over and over. Here are some options to see the movie today.
Films at the Fitz-7pm
The historic Fitzgerald Theater in downtown St. Paul will be showing the movie tonight. Doors open at 6, Live Music by a local band at 7 and movie starts at 7:30. Dress as your favorite character and make a night of it. Beer and concessions will be available. Films at the Fitz are FREE, but you will need a ticket and they do run out so I suggest you get yours in advance (limit 2 per person).
Trivia Mafia at Como Dockside- 6:45pm
Como Dockside is staying open year round and they are hosting a special Trivia Mafia event on the 3rd floor for the movie. Doors open at 6pm, Trivia starts at 6:15 and a 6:45 movie time. No charge for the movie- drinks and food are extra.
