Oktoberfest 2017- The best celebrations around the Twin Cities

Oktoberfest- tha exciting time of year where beer and sausage come together. Here in MN, we have a strong German heritage and when combined with the most beautiful time of year in our state it is no wonder that Octoberfest has proven to be a favorite seasonal event. Here are my pics for the top Octoberfest celebrations this year.

St. Paul Oktoberfest- Historic Schmitt Brewery – Sept 15, 4-10pm & Sept 16, 10am-10pm
St. Paul Oktoberfest at the Historic Schmidt Brewery is the most authentic Munich-style celebration in Minnesota. It features not only beer and cheer, but also culture and history. Family-friendly by day, and a big party by night — St. Paul Oktoberfest is Minnesota’s Most Authentic Oktoberfest. Proudly serving Summit Beer. Schell’s Oktoberfest- New Ulm- October 6- 7 & 13-14
Head to New Ulm the most German town in MN for two weekends of brats, beer and lederhosen. There are events happening all over downtown and of course out at the brewery. I went to this one last year and had a great time. Expect long lines and lots of people, but the setting is fabulous. Dancing, parades, food and of course… beer.
